33.01

In order to ensure optimum picture quality, all camera platforms must:​

  • be level;

  • be solid;

  • be non-vibrating;

  • provide an unobstructed view of the entire field of play and its immediate vicinity;

  • be covered;

  • have a smooth, non-slip surface on the base;

  • be safe and stable to access;

  • offer protection on all sides by means of a kickboard that is at least 75mm high.

33.02

The main camera platform must be positioned exactly in line with the halfway line, facing away from the setting sun. It must be positioned at a height above the pitch that guarantees an optimum and unobstructed view of the entire field of play and its immediate vicinity and, in principle, when focusing on the centre spot on the pitch, be at an angle of 12 to 15-degrees relative to the horizontal plane.

33.03

In addition, the main camera platform must meet the following requirements:

33.04

Additional camera platforms are required as follows:

As for categories 3 and 4 if the stadium is used in a competition or competition round for which the use of VAR is foreseen

Two 16m camera platforms, located on the same side and at least at the same height as the main camera platform, each measuring at least 2m wide x 2m deep to accommodate one camera on the 16m line

One reverse-angle camera platform centrally located in the stand opposite the main camera, measuring at least 2m wide x 2m deep to accommodate at least one camera

Two camera platforms located in the stands, one behind each goal, each measuring at least 2m wide x 2m deep to accommodate one camera at a height permitting an unobstructed view of the penalty spot from above the crossbar
