In order to guarantee a consistently high standard of coverage for all matches, there should be a minimum number of camera positions for the host broadcaster, all of which may be equipped with microphones to capture ambient sound, plus additional positions available to audiovisual rights holders to supplement their coverage. Clubs must ensure that all the camera positions described below can be accommodated, unless they present any safety or security risk. All cameras must respect the minimum distances from the touchlines and team benches indicated in Annex F, unless otherwise agreed by UEFA owing to specific permanent stadium infrastructure conditions (e.g. existing pitch surrounding installations, including the technical area). All pitch-facing camera positions mentioned in this annex must provide an unobstructed view of the whole pitch. Additional cameras, camera technology or equipment may be used for selected matches during the cycle and may require new or additional positions in the stadiums concerned. Subject to space availability and safety and security considerations, such camera positions may be approved by UEFA on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the audiovisual rights holders and clubs involved.
