The competition stages are as follows:

1. Qualifying competition (European Qualifiers)

   • Group stage

   • Play-offs

2. Final tournament (UEFA EURO 2028)

   • Group stage

   • Knockout stage

     • Round of 16

     • Quarter-finals

     • Semi-finals

     • Final

All matches in the competition are played in conformity with the IFAB Laws of the Game. The half-time interval lasts 15 minutes.
