The financial provisions for the final tournament are defined in the contract between UEFA and the host association.
UEFA provides local ground transport from/to the closest international airport for a maximum of 21 people per delegation. Any additional transport must be arranged and paid for by the associations themselves.
Each team taking part in the final tournament pays:
-
the travel expenses of its delegation to and from the host city;
-
any costs arising from having additional delegation members;
-
any costs arising from early arrival or delayed departure;
-
expenses arising from the compulsory accident and travel insurance taken out for its players and officials;
-
additional costs arising from special board and lodging requests.
UEFA organises and covers the cost of the board and lodging of the players and officials of the participating associations (21 persons per delegation, i.e. 14 players and 7 team officials). For the teams, this covers the period beginning two days before their first match in the final tournament and ending the day after they have been eliminated, or the day after the end of the final tournament for those who reach the semi-finals.
