Any protective equipment used by players must be of a single colour, in principle the colour of the shirt (elbow pads) or the colour of the shorts (knee pads). Alternatively, such equipment may be black or white. It must not protrude excessively and must be free of team and manufacturer identification or sponsor logos or any other words or image.
Captain's armbands branded with a UEFA social responsibility campaign must be worn if provided by UEFA.
