All matches in the competition are played in conformity with the FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game. The half-time interval must not exceed 15 minutes.
UEFA has been allocated four places in the FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup, plus one additional place if a European association hosts.

Participating associations enter the competition as follows:

The lowest-ranked teams in the UEFA women's futsal national team coefficient rankings (see Annex A) start the competition in the preliminary round. The number of teams in the preliminary round depends on the number of entries.

The teams of Portugal and Spain start the competition in the elite round.

The remaining teams start the competition in the main round.

If a European association is selected to host the FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup, its team qualifies automatically.
The UEFA administration seeds the teams for the preliminary, main and elite round draws in accordance with the UEFA women's futsal national team coefficient rankings (see Annex A).
