Article 12 Group formation and match system – preliminary round - Futsal Women's World Cup Qualifiers

12.01

All matches in the preliminary round are played in the form of mini-tournaments hosted by one of the participating associations.

12.02

Each team plays each of the other teams in the group once, with three points awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a defeat.

12.03

The teams competing in the preliminary round are drawn into groups of three or four. All the group winners and, if required, the best runner(s)-up qualify for the main round.
