If there is no winner at the end of normal time in a quarter-final, a semi-final, the final or any FIFA U-17 World Cup play-off match, the winner is determined by a penalty shoot-out (see Paragraph 18.02 and Paragraph 18.03).
Penalties are taken in accordance with the procedure laid down in the IFAB Laws of the Game.
To ensure that the procedure is strictly observed, the referee is assisted by his team, who also note down the numbers of the players on each team who have taken penalties.
