A.4 Coefficient calculation - Under-19

Each association's qualifying round coefficient is calculated by:

• adding up the match points obtained in a given season;

• dividing the total by the number of qualifying competition and final tournament group matches played;

• adding the bonus points to produce the coefficient for that season;

• adding together the four season coefficients to produce the overall qualifying round coefficient.

If two or more associations have an equal qualifying round coefficient, the following criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine their final rankings:

1. higher number of matches played;

2. higher coefficient from the most recent season;

3. higher coefficient from the next three most recent seasons, taking each season individually;

4. superior goal difference from the most recent season;

5. superior goal difference from the next three most recent seasons, taking each season individually.
