Article 12 Competition stages - Under-19

12.01

All matches in the competition are played in conformity with the IFAB Laws of the Game. The half-time interval lasts 15 minutes.

12.02

The competition stages are as follows:

1. Qualifying competition

   • Qualifying round

   • Elite round

2. Final tournament

   • Group stage

   • Semi-finals

   • If applicable, FIFA World Cup play-off match

   • Final

12.03

Participating associations enter the competition as follows:

1. The team of the final tournament host association qualifies automatically for the final tournament.

2. The team of the best-ranked association in the coefficient rankings (see Annex A) enters the competition in the elite round as top-seed. For the 2024/25 competition, the team concerned is Portugal.

3. The 52 remaining teams contest the qualifying round.
