Each association's coefficient is calculated by:
-
adding up the match points obtained in a given season;
-
dividing the total by the number of qualifying competition and final tournament group matches played;
-
adding the bonus points awarded (maximum 5 points) to produce the coefficient for the season;
-
adding up the two season coefficients to produce the overall coefficient.
If two or more associations have an equal coefficient, the following criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine their final rankings:
-
higher number of matches played;
-
higher coefficient from the most recent season;
-
higher coefficient from the next most recent season;
-
superior goal difference from the most recent season;
-
superior goal difference from the next most recent season;
-
higher number of goals scored;
-
current senior men's futsal national team coefficient ranking.
