12.01

Matches in all stages of the competition are played in conformity with the IFAB Laws of the Game. The half-time interval lasts 15 minutes.

12.02

The competition stages are as follows:

  1. Qualifying competition (UEFA Women’s EURO Qualifiers) composed of:

    • group stage;

    • play-offs.

  2. Final tournament (UEFA Women’s EURO 2021), composed of:

    • group stage;

    • knockout stage.

12.03

The UEFA administration seeds the teams for the qualifying group stage draw and for the final draw in accordance with the UEFA women's national team coefficient rankings (see Annex B). The reigning European champions and the team of the final tournament host association are always seeded.

12.04

If, for any unforeseen reason, any of the participating teams are not known at the time of the draw, the coefficient of the team with the higher coefficient of the teams involved in an undecided tie will be used for the purposes of the draw.
