12.01

All matches in the competition are played in conformity with the IFAB Laws of the Game. The half-time interval lasts 15 minutes.

12.02

The competition phases are as follows:

  1. The qualifying competition, composed of:

    1. the UEFA Nations League phase, comprising:

      • a league stage;

      • promotion and relegation matches;

      • finals comprising:

        - semi-final 1 and semi-final 2;

        - a third-place match;

        - a final match.

    2. the European Qualifiers phase, comprising:

      • a league stage;

      • play-offs for the final tournament.

  2. The final tournament (UEFA Women’s EURO 2025), composed of:

    1. a group stage;

    2. a knockout stage.

12.03

The team of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 host association is guaranteed a slot in the final tournament but nevertheless participates in the qualifying competition. If the final tournament has multiple hosts, a maximum of two slots are guaranteed for host associations.
