If it is necessary to rank the League B runners-up from round 1 to determine which team is promoted to League A for round 2 (see Paragraph 14.04a), the results against the fourth-placed teams are discarded when there are groups of three and four. Should there exceptionally be groups of two, the results against the third- and fourth-placed teams are discarded.
If there is a vacancy to fill in the final tournament and it is therefore necessary to rank the League A runners-up from round 2 (see Paragraph 16.04), all matches are taken into account. Should there exceptionally be groups of three, the results against the fourth-placed teams are discarded. Should there exceptionally be groups of two, the results against the third- and fourth-placed teams are discarded.
When ranking runners-up as indicated in Paragraph 18.01 and Paragraph 18.02, the following criteria apply, in the order given:
-
higher number of points;
-
superior goal difference;
-
higher number of goals scored;
-
lower disciplinary points total based only on yellow and red cards received by players and team officials (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points);

-
for teams in round 1, position in the 2023/24 round 2 league rankings (see Paragraph 13.02 b);
-
