59.01

As a rule, a player or team official sent off by the referee is automatically suspended for the next match in the competition. In the event of a serious offence, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body is entitled to augment this punishment, including by extending it to other competitions.

59.02

In case of repeated cautions:

  1. in the qualifying competition, players and team officials are suspended for the next competition match after the second and fourth caution;

  2. in the final tournament, players and team officials are suspended for the next competition match after the second caution.

59.03

Cautions that have not resulted in a suspension expire on completion of round 2 and are not carried forward to the final tournament.

59.04

In the final tournament, cautions that have not resulted in a suspension expire on completion of the group stage and are not carried forward to the semi-finals nor to any FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup play-off matches.

59.05

Cautions that have not resulted in a suspension and pending yellow-card suspensions expire on completion of the competition.
