UEFA is the exclusive owner of all commercial rights in relation to the final tournament. UEFA expressly reserves all such commercial rights and is exclusively entitled to exploit, retain and distribute all revenues derived from the exploitation of such commercial rights.
Each participating association must provide all necessary assistance and cooperation to UEFA in taking any and all legal and other measures that UEFA, at its sole discretion, deems appropriate to prohibit, prevent and stop any unauthorised exploitation of the commercial rights to the final tournament and to ensure that all the commercial rights remain owned and exercised solely and exclusively by UEFA without restriction. In this regard, no association may use or exploit, directly or indirectly, any commercial rights to the final tournament without the express prior written agreement of UEFA and subject to such conditions as UEFA may require. Each association must ensure that its players, coaches, officials and other employees as well as its partners, commercial or otherwise, do not use or otherwise exploit directly or indirectly any commercial rights to the final tournament without UEFA’s express prior agreement, which may be granted or withheld at its sole discretion.
Unless otherwise approved by UEFA in writing, a participating association may not display third-party commercial identification or branding in any stadium chosen for the final tournament.
Each participating association must support and ensure that its players, officials and other employees support the commercial programme established by UEFA for the final tournament, including, without limitation, the promotional programmes run by UEFA and its partners (e.g. ball kids, player escorts, match-ball carriers, flag bearers, player of the match awards and stadium tours).
At its sole discretion, UEFA may authorise associations to exploit certain media rights and request certain additional access rights for the purposes of filming in each case in respect of the matches in which they are participating. Any and all rights or access granted are subject to the national association media guidelines issued by UEFA from time to time.
At UEFA’s request, any and all content produced and exploited by associations pursuant to Paragraph 67.05 above and the national association media guidelines must be shared by associations with UEFA, UEFA media partners and/or a third party appointed by UEFA (in each case, as designated by UEFA and in accordance with UEFA guidelines and regulations) for exploitation by UEFA and/or UEFA media partners. Each association hereby assigns to UEFA free of charge (including where applicable by way of present assignment of future rights) all legal and beneficial right, title and interest (including all intellectual property rights) which it may from time to time acquire or hold throughout the world in and to any and all footage produced by it pursuant to Paragraph 67.05 above and the national association media guidelines, including any and all rights to transmit and/or re-transmit the relevant materials, whether vested, contingent or future, free of all liens and encumbrances for the full period of such rights therein (including any and all extensions, reversions and renewals thereof). In any jurisdiction where such assignment does not take effect, the association: (i) shall hold such rights for the benefit of UEFA absolutely; and (ii) hereby grants to UEFA free of charge a worldwide, unrestricted, irrevocable, exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable and royalty free licence in respect of all such rights for the entire term of those rights (including any and all extensions, reversions and renewals thereof). Such assignment (and, if applicable, such licence) includes, among other things, the right to use, broadcast, transmit, publish, reproduce and modify the materials in any way known or not yet known, and to license third parties (including UEFA media partners) to do the same.
