Ideally, each team should be allocated its own training ground for the entire duration of the mini-tournament but, if necessary, two or three grounds may be shared by the teams. Each ground must be in perfect condition. The training pitches should be of the same surface as the match pitches and of a similar size. If the matches are to be played on natural grass pitches, training grounds surfaced with good-quality artificial turf may still be used, provided teams have the possibility to train at least once on natural grass. The host association must ensure the training grounds are available for up to two training sessions a day per team and must cover the cost of one training session per team per day. The training grounds must be located no more than 30 minutes by bus from the corresponding teams’ accommodation.

54.02

If the weather and state of the playing field so allow, the teams are entitled to hold a training session of up to 45 minutes the day before the match in the stadium where the match will be played. This provision applies only to each team’s first match in a stadium. The UEFA match delegate, in cooperation with the host association, will take the final decision in case of any uncertainty.

54.03

If the teams and/or referees do not train at the stadium the day before the match for whatever reason (e.g. pitch conditions), they must be permitted to visit the stadium the day before the match.
