The round of 16 pairings are determined by means of a draw in which pot 1 is composed of the four third-placed teams from path A and the four group winners from path B (teams 9 to 16), and pot 2 is composed of the winners and the runners-up from path A (teams 1 to 8). The teams drawn from pot 1 play the first leg at home. The quarter-final pairings are also determined by the round of 16 draw, as illustrated in Annex A. Team 1 in each quarter-final plays the first leg at home.
The procedures for each draw are prepared by the UEFA administration and sent to the participating clubs in due time.
