Article 51 Player replacements and substitutions - Futsal Champions League

51.01

After the match sheets have been exchanged, no changes are allowed. Before the match has kicked off, the following exceptions apply:

1. Any of the players indicated on the match sheet as forming the starting five who cannot start the match due to physical incapacity may be replaced by one of the substitutes listed on the match sheet. The replaced player is taken off the match sheet and the quota of substitute players is reduced accordingly for the match in question.

2. Any of the substitutes listed on the match sheet who cannot be fielded due to physical incapacity are removed from the match sheet. The number of substitute players is reduced accordingly for the match in question.

3. Any goalkeeper listed on the match sheet who cannot be fielded due to physical incapacity may be replaced by another goalkeeper from the list of 25 players or if that is not possible, by another goalkeeper not previously registered on the list of 25.

The club concerned must submit to the UEFA match delegate a printed copy of the match sheet duly completed in relation to the specific change. In addition, the club concerned must submit the medical replacement form to the UEFA administration within 48 hours of the end of the match, along with any necessary medical evidence. If it fails to do so or if UEFA finds any of the information provided by the club concerned to be inaccurate, the matter may be referred to the UEFA disciplinary bodies. A replaced player who is taken off the match sheet may take no further part in the match nor sit on the team bench.

51.02

The maximum number of substitutes permitted per team is nine. The number of substitutions permitted during a match is unlimited. No substitutions are allowed during time-outs.

51.03

Any player selected on the match sheet in line with Article 50 or replaced in line with Article 51 may be selected to undergo a doping control after the match in accordance with Annex B of the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations and must remain available in the hall for 30 minutes after the end of the match. If a doping control officer is present at the match and a player selected on the match sheet is injured or falls ill and requires treatment in hospital, the doping control officer assesses the severity of the injury or illness and decides whether the player can leave the hall to go to hospital immediately or whether they must undergo any potential doping control first.
