As a rule, the home team has the first choice as to which of its playing attires announced on the playing attire approval form it wears. In order to clearly distinguish between the teams on the field of play, teams may combine elements of their first-choice and second-choice playing attires. The playing attires of outfield players are selected before the goalkeeper playing attires. For the final tournament matches, the UEFA administration issues a written decision regarding the playing colours to be worn for each match.
If on the day of the match, in the opinion of the referee or the UEFA administration, the colours of the two teams could be confused, they will be changed. The decision taken by the UEFA administration in consultation with the referee is final.
