32.01

As of the quarter-finals, a club may register a maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the current competition. Such registration must be completed by 12 March 2025 (24:00 CET) at the latest.

32.02

Exceptionally and without prejudice to Paragraph 32.01, clubs participating in domestic championships that start and end in the same calendar year are entitled to additional player registrations in the following cases:

  1. If more than five players on the club's List A are no longer registered with their national association as playing for the club concerned after completion of the group stage and before the start of the knockout stage, the club may register one additional player, i.e. a total of four new eligible players, for the remaining matches in the current competition.

  2. If more than seven players on the club's List A are no longer registered with their national association as playing for the club concerned after completion of the group stage and before the start of the knockout stage, the club may register two additional players, i.e. a total of five new eligible players, for the remaining matches in the current competition.

Such exceptional registrations must be completed by 12 March 2025 (24:00 CET) at the latest.

32.03

Any or all of the players from the above quota may have been fielded for another club in the preliminary round, round 1, round 2 or the group stage.

32.04

If the registration of such new players causes the number of players on List A to exceed 25, the club must remove the necessary number of currently registered players to reduce the List A to 25 players again. The quota of locally trained players must be respected when registering new players.

32.05

Exceptionally, at any time during the season, a club may replace on List A:

  1. a pregnant player who is not able to continue to provide sporting services to her club, because of health reasons attributable to the pregnancy, or

  2. a player who has taken maternity leave

by completing the official registration List A with an eligible player, who was already registered with the club in accordance with Paragraph 30.02 to Paragraph 30.07 before the last applicable deadline for List A to be submitted.

On completion of her maternity leave, a player who was already registered with the club in accordance with Paragraph 30.02 to Paragraph 30.07 before the last applicable deadline for List A to be submitted, may be added to List A of her club at any time during the season.

In all cases, the registration of a player as stipulated in this paragraph must be announced to the UEFA administration 24 hours before the next match in which the player in question is due to play, together with the relevant justification, i.e. statement signed by the player and the club, and/or medical certificate.

32.06

If, in the case of Paragraph 32.05, the registration of the player returning from maternity causes the number of players on List A to exceed 25, the club must remove a currently registered player to reduce the squad to 25 players again.

32.07

In all cases outlined in Paragraph 32.05, the rules related to “locally trained players” outlined under Article 31 do not apply.
