Both rounds in the qualifying phase are played under the knockout system, whereby each team plays each opponent twice, in home and away matches. The team that scores the greater aggregate of goals in the two matches qualifies for the next round. In the event that the two teams score the same number of goals across the two matches, Article 18 applies.
The UEFA administration may decide that a tie be played in one leg, if circumstances so require, and will set the principles for determining the winner accordingly.
Certain clubs eliminated from the UEFA Women's Champions League (as of the second qualifying round) are admitted to the UEFA Women's Europa Cup as shown in Paragraph 3.03.
