Nationals of EEA member states or Switzerland may work in Hungary without a permit for less than 90 days. Their employer must, however, notify the competent labour authority (see below section Posting of Workers).
Nationals of other countries (‘third countries’) do need a permit to work in Hungary. Applications
must be made by their employer to the Government Office, which issues permits within 5 to 60
days.
