Sunday work is prohibited between Saturday at 23.00 and Sunday 23.00, unless expressively authorised by the competent cantonal authority or subject to exceptions provided by law such as sports events (Art. 43 Ordinance 2 related to the Labour Law). In such cases, work on Sunday is subject to compensation through time off or additional pay.
