The match organiser must seek the cooperation of the local police to ensure the safety of the visiting team and officials at their hotel and when travelling to and from training and to and from the match.
The match organiser must undertake an appropriate risk assessment in conjunction with police and, whenever police escorts are not to be provided for movements of teams and officials, the reasons should be recorded in this risk assessment and provided to UEFA at the matchday organisational meeting.
