The match organiser must ensure that:

the stadium is guarded against unauthorised intrusion for an adequate period before the day of the match. This period should be defined in line with the generic risk assessment undertaken for the match by the match organiser and public authorities;

a comprehensive security search of the stadium for unauthorised persons or prohibited objects/substances is carried out before spectators are admitted. This search should include the stadium roof.
