These regulations apply whenever expressly referred to by specific regulations governing a competition to be played under the auspices of UEFA.
These regulations apply to the following persons:

outfield players;

goalkeepers;
-
substitutes;
-
referee team;
-
technical team staff (head coach and assistant coaches, equipment manager, etc.);

medical team staff (team doctor, physiotherapist, etc.);

other team officials with access to the technical area;
-
ball kids, player and referee escorts, centre circle carriers and flag bearers.
They apply to:

all equipment items which may be worn or used by the aforementioned persons (except for shinguards);

all references to teams, sponsors, manufacturers and any other third parties appearing on any equipment items;

all additional items that may be used on the field of play or in the controlled stadium area, such as medical equipment, medical bags or match balls.
They apply to the aforementioned persons during all official activities in conjunction with a match or tournament, such as press conferences and training sessions, irrespective of their location, and at all times in the controlled stadium area on the day of the match.
