13.01

An emergency medical room must be provided for all matches in UEFA competitions. This medical room must be located close to the dressing rooms (on the same level) and must contain the following equipment:

  1. examination and treatment table/couch

  2. two chairs

  3. suture materials of more than one filament size (e.g. 2-0, 3-0 and 5-0)

  4. suture packs

  5. sharps box

  6. hand gel

  7. dressing packs

  8. urine rapid analysis dipsticks

  9. copy of the current WADA Prohibited List

  10. ice and plastic bags

  11. local anaesthetics (e.g. lidocaine 2% and/or ropivacaine)

  12. mirror

  13. bright light

  14. syringes

  15. needles

  16. tongue depressors

  17. foil blankets

  18. penlight

  19. alcohol swabs

  20. gloves (sterile and non-sterile)

  21. bandages

  22. wound cleaning solution.

13.02

The medical room should be large enough to allow stretcher access and should also include the following items:

  1. stethoscope

  2. nebuliser mask

  3. opthalmoscope and auroscope

  4. nasal tampons

  5. prescription pad

  6. anti-histamines (chlorpheniramine injection)

  7. hydrocortisone

  8. running water

  9. toilet

  10. benzodiazepines (e.g. sublingual diazepam or diazemuls injection)

  11. Adrenaline 1:10,000 injection

  12. tooth transport container (medium)

  13. portable oxygen cylinder (minimum 15l/min. for 20 minutes).
