The costs of proceedings include the expenses of the First Chamber or Appeals Chamber.
The costs are borne in accordance with the outcome of the proceedings, as determined by the chamber concerned.
Costs caused unnecessarily by the defendant/appellant are charged to the latter, irrespective of the outcome of the proceedings.
